My Role

There are three main elements to my role in your ceremony:

The discovery – listening to your needs, wishes and story. This is where I use my listening and questioning skills to provide the foundation for the ceremony.
The writing – handcrafting a ceremony for the couple, parents or bereaved. This will build on the knowledge gained in the discovery, to ensure the perfect outcome. No two ceremonies are the same and the output will completely reflect your style and wishes.
The ceremony itself – presiding over the ceremony and ensuring everything runs smoothly. This is your big day and with calmness and flexibility, I will oversee and orchestrate proceedings.

Pricing

Typical Fees

Fees will depend a little on what type of ceremony you want and where you want it. Once we have had our initial consultation, I will provide a full proposal. However, my fees are typically:

Weddings & Renewal of Vows - £645
Optional Rehearsal - £95
Symbolic ceremony props - Recharged at cost
Script-only Wedding Ceremonies - £325
Namings - £295
Funerals - £275
Memorials - £325

What's included

General

Initial consultation
Full interview/discovery, face-to-face or online, whichever you prefer
Advice on readings
Your hand-crafted script, including drafting and revisions
Officiating your ceremony
Access to me via WhatsApp throughout the process
Liaising with other suppliers to make sure everything runs like clockwork
Use of my portable PA system, if required
A presentation copy of your ceremony script
Travel for discovery consultation and the ceremony within 20 miles of Chadlington, Oxfordshire (additional miles are charged at 45p per mile)

Weddings & Namings

Advice on symbolic ceremony props (such as hand-fasting ribbons, candles etc.)
Advice on perfecting the choreography of the ceremony

Terms

A booking fee of 50% of the total fee is payable to confirm your booking. The remaining balance is due 12 weeks prior to your ceremony or on production of the final script (whichever is sooner).
Apart from funerals, ceremonies booked within 12 weeks of delivery require full payment at the time of booking.
Payment for funerals will typically be organised through the funeral director as a disbursement.
All fees are non-refundable.
